The aim of the paper is to present the current situation in the production and foreign trade of pigs in the world and to indicate the possible direction of change by the year 2020, against the background of global conditions. The study is a review of literature and data, with elements of deductive reasoning. / Synopsis. Rynek mięsa wieprzowego jest wiodącym rynkiem mięsnym na świecie pod względem wielkości podaży i popytu, wysoki jest też udział tego surowca w handlu zagranicznym.
