Abstract

The aim of this article is to present the problems of cost competitiveness of Polish dairy farms and selected European countries. Comparisons were used to study IFCN and Agricultural Census 2010. As can be seen from the analysis, the majority of farms in Poland are uncompetitive in terms of cost of milk production compared to typical farms in Germany, France, Denmark and the Netherlands. The situation is slightly higher for larger farms (more than 65 cows). The weakness of Polish farms was low technical efficiency. Mainly seen in low productivity of labor and land productivity. / Synopsis. Głównie niska wydajność pracy i produkcyjność ziemi.
