Abstract

The article compares development prospects of rural areas within confines of the Common Agricultural Policy, looking at Mazovian province 2014-2020, and determining the most important difference between 2007-2013 PROW and 2014-2020 PROW. Comparisons indicate that new policies do not differ greatly from former programs. The article concentrates mainly on identifying changes in the structure of CAP. The proposed structure of the program has huge meaning for Polish agricultural and rural development, so, with reference to decisions presented by the European Commission, the level of support determines the potential competitiveness of the Polish agricultural sector within the European Union. / Synopsis.
