Abstract
The following text analyzes the status and prospects for rapeseed production in Poland and Ukraine. On the last ten years either countries – Poland and Ukraine there was an increase in the production of rapeseed. In Poland most of rapeseed is used for domestic consumption, while in Ukraine most of it is exported. Increasing of biofuel production is a huge chance for rapeseed producers in Poland and Ukraine. A major threat to rapeseed production is the decision of the European Parliament on reducing the production of first generation biofuels. / Synopsis.
