Abstract

The article describes the changes that have taken place in the domestic and global rapeseed market in the first years after the Polish accession to the EU (2004-2007) and subsequent years (2008-2012), compared with the period before accession (2000-2003). The assessment of these changes were carried out on the basis of average annual data for selected period. It has been shown that the Polish accession to the EU and EU policy on biofuels and renewable energy and increased the rate of development of production, processing and trade of rape and products of its processing. Poland has become a part of the global market and, therefore, fluctuations of domestic rapeseed prices are significantly affected by changes in oilseed prices on the European and American commodity markets. / Synopsis.
