Zmiany Na Rynku Tytoniu I Wyrobów Tytoniowych W Polsce W Latach 2001-2016

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zmian zachodzących w Polsce w produkcji tytoniu i wyrobów tytoniowych. Polska jest 25. producentem tytoniu na świecie i 4. w Unii Europejskiej, a także czołowym producentem wyrobów tytoniowych w Europie. Krajowy rynek tytoniu i wyrobów tytoniowych podlegał intensywnym przemianom. W ostatnich latach największy wpływ na funkcjonowanie rynku tytoniu i wyrobów tytoniowych w tym okresie miała integracja Polski z UE oraz reforma +ej polityki rolnej, prowadząca do likwidacji bezpośredniego wsparcia produkcji tytoniu oraz systematyczne zaostrzanie polityki społecznej zniechęcającej do palenia papierosów. Pracochłonność uprawy tytoniu i wysokie koszty pracy sprawiają, że produkcja tytoniu w Europie jest mało konkurencyjna w stosunku do krajów rozwijających się, dysponujących wysokimi zasobami siły roboczej i sprzyjającymi warunkami klimatycznymi. Przetwórstwo tytoniu w Polsce jest w dużym stopniu uzależnione od importu surowca i nastawione jest na eksport wyrobów tytoniowych.
