Postawa konsumentów względem wdrażania idei segregacji odpadów piekarsko-cukierniczych „u źródła”

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the perception of the problem of waste of bread, the tendency of consumers to separate their waste bakery and confectionery, the factors that encourage and opinions on the directions of use of this type of waste. A survey was conducted among 314 consumers. It was found that waste of bread especially for people over the age of 40 years is a very important issue. The respondents showed a high acceptance in relation to the concept of waste segregation bakery and confectionery. Factors supporting segregation would be properly prepared containers and the awareness that the bread is not thrown in the trash. Respondents expressed scepticism in relation to the use of bakery and confectionery waste to produce biogas or methanol. Demonstrated popular support indicates the need for action in the municipalities allow for collection of waste bakery and confectionery to their effective management, and the conduct in this field of educational activities.
