Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the preferences and behavior of students on the milk and dairy products market. The source material for this study were survey conducted in 2012 on a purposely selected sample of 200 students of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań. It has been found that milk and dairy products are a very important component of the diet of students. Nearly half of them consume these products every day. The milk they use mainly for whitening coffee, cocoa preparation and consume them with cereal. Most often buy UHT milk in a carton, with a high fat content. Among dairy products prefer yoghurt and hard cheese. Milk and dairy products consume primarily because of their flavor and health properties. Taste is also the most important factor for buying these products. Milk products they purchase most often in supermarkets and hypermarkets.
