Abstract

The aim of the study was to characterize one of the renewable energy sources that is wind energy. On the basis of the available figures are presented for both wind energy resources in the world and in Poland. In the main, however, much attention has focused on the tangible benefits of investment in wind farms in rural areas. Following the analysis, it was found that investments in wind farms being numerous benefits to both biological as well as the benefits of financial.
