CADEIAS CURTAS, COOPERAÇÃO E PRODUTOS DE QUALIDADE NA AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR – o Processo de Relocalização da Produção Agroalimentar em Santa Catarina

Abstract

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a emergência de novos mercados alimentares de qualidade identificados a partir da reconexão das relações entre produtor e consumidor que surge a partir da construção de cadeias agroalimentares curtas. Essas cadeias se caracterizam por enraizar práticas alimentares em relações eco-social locais, criando novos espaços econômicos. Problematizam-se as noções de qualidade e produto local enquanto esquemas de produção de confiança dos consumidores em relação aos produtos com identidade cultural e enraizamento territorial. O procedimento metodológico adotado foi o estudo de caso através de pesquisa documental, observação participante e entrevistas em profundidade com agricultores, líderes e outros agentes do meio rural. A análise indica que a inter-relação entre pessoas, produtos e lugar é que dão distintividade aos produtos com qualidades específicas atuando na ressocialização e relocalização de alimentos. Os empreendimentos de agregação de valor e suas circundantes redes de cooperação propiciam a criação de novos espaços econômicos e novas formas de inserção nos mercados repercutindo na ampliação da autonomia dos agricultores familiares e suas organizações. ----- The purpose of this study was to analyse the rising of new quality food markets identified from the reestablishment of the relationship between growers and consumers, which rises from the development of short food supply chains. These chains were characterized by rooting food practices during local eco-social relationships, creating new economic spaces. Quality notions and local product were problematized while reliable production schemes of the consumers in relation to products with cultural identity and territorial rooting. A case study was adopted by means of literature review, participative observation and deep interview involving growers, leaders and other interveners in the countryside. According to results, relationship among people, products and places shows distinctiveness for products containing specific qualities, acting in the food ressocialization and localization. Value-adding undertakings, and their surrounding cooperation networks, propitiate the creation of new economic spaces and new insertion ways in the marketing, having influence upon the autonomy ampliation of the family farmers and their organizations.
