Abstract

In a rapidly growing economy, agricultural marketing plays a pivotal role in ensuring lucrative pricing and financial prosperity for rural communities. Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) enhance market access by creating efficient linkages between producers and retailers, streamlining marketing channels, and reducing costs and margins. This positively influences metrics like price spread, producer’s share in the consumer’s rupee, and marketing efficiency. Anantapuram district, known for its diverse crop production and active FPOs across various departments, was selected for this study due to its potential for multi-commodity FPO development. Using a multi-stage stratified random sampling technique, data were collected from 100 FPO members and 50 non-FPO members. The study presents the FPO members’ experience.
