Monograph review agricultural insurance in the Republic of Serbia

Abstract

The monograph “Agricultural Insurance in the Republic of Serbia”, authored by the Ph.D. Gordana Radović, was published in 2024. by the Institute of Agricultural Economics in Belgrade-Serbia. Book is the result of the author’s long-term research on this complex issue. Author highlights the causal relationship between the (under)development of agriculture and agricultural insurance in Serbia. Author also emphasizes that the development of insurance can stimulate development of agriculture, as insurance funds can be directed toward financing the development of mentioned sector. Therefore, as the author states, monograph aims to examine the issue of agricultural insurance in Serbia from multiple perspectives, analyzing also international experiences, while propose potential development directions.
