Abstract

----------------- The economic, political and social changes experienced globally in recent years have influenced international migration in the 21. century. All these challenges are supposed to be addressed collectively. The aim of our study is to present the economic and non-economic aspects determining migration and to explain anti-migration behaviour represented by the majority of society. In order to facilitate a successful integration it is essential to create a more open-minded host society with a clear goal, which targets the socio-economic integration of immigrants and refugees.
