Abstract
A témakörben rendelkezésre álló szakirodalom bemutatását követően a kérdőíves felmérésünk eredményeit mutatjuk be. Nemzetközi kiküldetésnek nevezzük, amikor egy vállalat hazai munkavállalóját egy másik országban működő csoportcégéhez küldi ki rövidebb-hosszabb időtartamra munkavégzés céljából, a kiküldött másképpen expatrióta. A nemzetközi kiküldetésekkel kapcsolatban eltérő elvárásokat támasztanak mind a munkáltatók, mind a munkavállalók. ---------- This study aims to give an insight into the motivations and expectations of Generation Y regarding international assignments. After review of relevant literature we are presenting some results of our research. In today’s globalized world international assignments are particularly frequent. The word expat is generally used to refer to people who temporarily or permanently are sent to work in to a different country than the one they were born in or whose nationality they have. Employers and employees have different expectations about that, and generation Y requires new approaches and new HR innovations. In this paper we would like to give an opportunity to understand what motivates the young workers. The results of our research show that member of the millenial generation are open to working abroad compared to previous generations. Generation Y would like to get a chance to gain experience abroad in earlier age. In our opinion companies should be prepared for the new challenges generated by Gen Y and should review their guidelines for international assignments.
