Abstract

A 2008-ban kitört világgazdasági válság megrendítette a gazdaságilag fejlett hatalmak nagy részét. A magyar gazdaságra is komoly kihatásai voltak, visszaesett az ipar, a GDP és természetesen a foglalkoztatás. Magyarországon a foglalkoztatottság csökkenni kezdett a válság kitörése után pár hónappal. A nagyarányú munkanélküliség javulni látszott 2010-re, azonban 2011-ben újabb visszaesés következett be. ----------------------------------------------------- The world economic crisis which broke out in 2008 shocked the majority of the economically advanced countries. The crisis affected seriously the Hungarian economy. The industry, the GDP and the employment have dropped. In Hungary, the employment rate started to decline a few months after the outbreak of the crisis. The high unemployment rate seemed to improve in 2010, but another setback occured in 2011. The Central Hungarian and the West Transdanubia regions were in the best position. Finding a job was the most difficult in the East Hungary and the South Transdanubia. In particular there was difficulty under 25 for people and over 50 years old as well as for the primary school graduates. Our investigation aim was the area of Gyöngyös, that is found in the East Hungary. During the 7 years of research the number of registered job seekers reached the value, moreover, it showed a lower value in 2013 before the crisis in the area. The study also includes a comparison between the district unemployment rate and the regional and national unemployment rate.
