Abstract

------------------------------------------------ From the newly developed super strength magnetic neodymium balls unlimited forms and structures can be constructed. The 5 mm diameter magnetic balls, called buckyballs can be purchased in pockets of 216, arranged in a 6x6x6 cube. According to ones imagination a wide variety of 2D or 3D shapes can be formed, e.g. different crystal lattices or even vacancies. As a physic teacher we are interested about visualizing the magnetic pattern as well.
