Ist der Anbau von Zuckerrüben als Biogassubtrat für Landwirte eine Alternative? Ein Discrete-Choice-Experiment zur Ausgestaltung von Substrat-Lieferverträgen für Zuckerrüben

Abstract

Für eine nachhaltige und gesellschaftlich unterstützte Erzeugung erneuerbarer Energien in Biogasanlagen ist es notwendig, Substrate abseits des Silomais‘ auf deren Tauglichkeit und Akzeptanz hin zu untersuchen. In diesem Zusammenhang gewinnt die Zuckerrübe als Biogassubstrat an Bedeutung. Unseres Wissens sind keine Studien vorhanden, die die Einstellung von Landwirten zur alternativen Verwendung von Zuckerrüben in Biogasanlagen untersuchen. Damit ist auch offen, wie Lieferverträge ausgestaltet sein müssen, damit Landwirte einem Zuckerrübenanbau für die Biogasproduktion zustimmen. Zur Beantwortung dieser Fragestellung haben wir eine Online-Befragung mit 118 deutschen Landwirten durchgeführt, die u.a. ein Discrete-Choice-Experiment beinhaltet hat. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Landwirte Substratlieferverträgen für Zuckerrüben eher ablehnend gegenüberstehen. Entscheiden sich Landwirte für einen Liefervertrag über den Anbau von Zuckerrüben als Biogassubstrat, präferieren sie eine kurze Vertragslaufzeit und einen geringen Anbauumfang. Eine Frühjahrsrodung wird generell abgelehnt.
