Hazánk inflációs kilátásai az EU-csatlakozást követően

Hazánk EU csatlakozása több területen befolyásolja a magyar gazdaságot^ melyek közül egyik az infláció. A spanyol és a portugál csatlakozás utáni eseményeket vizsgálva elmondható, hogy az inflációs trendekben valószínűleg nem következik be radikális változás Magyarországon, mint ahogy a két ibériai állam esetében sem történt, de az áremelkedés ütemének csökkenése tovább folyik. Ez azonban nem jelenti azt, hogy hamarosan elérjük a nyugat-európai értékeket, a különféle okok miatt hosszú távon is fennmarad egy bizonyos különbség a magyar és az európai infláció között. Ha a mezőgazdaság termékek árait vizsgáljuk szintén erre a következtetésre juthatunk, azonban hozzá kell tenni, az agrárárak változásának egyik fontos tulajdonsága, hogy az árak a csatlakozás után egyre inkább kiszámíthatóbbak lesznek, a jelentős ingadozásokat megakadályozza a növekvő európai közös piac. A spanyol és portugál folyamatok tanulságai is ezt támasztják alá. -------------- The entry into the European Union will affect the economy of Hungary in several respects. One of the most important problems is inflation. Fortunately the trends in this field can be forecast on the basis of an analysis of the period when Portugal and Spain entered into the European Union. Their figures indicate that there will be no significant change in the present trend of inflation in Hungary either, i. e. it will continue to decrease also in the near future. This does not mean, however, that inflation in this country will be in the neighbourhood of the analogous European figures: some difference between the first and the second will exist for a long period of time. The analysis of the prices of agricultural products permits of making the same conclusion also in that field. The trends of their changes will be more predictable, and any shocking changes will possibly disappear when the agricultural market of Hungary becomes part of that of Europe.
