Üreti̇ci̇leri̇n Coğrafi̇ İşarete Yöneli̇k Beklenti̇leri̇ Ve Bi̇lgi̇ Düzeyleri̇: Kayseri̇ Yamula Patlicani Örneği̇

Abstract

Bu çalışma Kayseri ilinde 2007 yılında coğrafi işaret (menşei işaret) olarak tescil ettirilen Yamula Patlıcanı üreticilerin coğrafi işaret konusunda bilgi düzeyleri ve coğrafi işaretten beklentilerinin ortaya konulması amacı ile yürütülmüştür. Aralık 2023-Şubat 2024 tarihleri arasında 55 Yamula Patlıcanı üreticisi ile anket soru formları doldurularak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda üreticilerin %90,91’inin coğrafi işaret kavramını duyduğu ve %66,00’inin de bu konuda yeterli bilgiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Coğrafi işaret kavramının duyum kaynağında en önemli rol Yemliha Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatifine aittir. Bölgede kooperatifin varlığı ve bu konuda önemli faaliyetlerde bulunması bu bilincin oluşmasında etkili olduğu söylenebilir. Bölgede coğrafi işaret konusundaki en büyük beklenti Pazar alanının genişlemesi yönünde iken üreticilerin %76,36’sının coğrafi işaretin bölgeye olumlu katkısı olduğunu belirtmiştir. Coğrafi işaret sisteminin bölgede işlemesi hususunda üreticilerin yarıya yakınının kısmen diye cevap vermeleri sistemin işleyişinde sorunlar olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu konuda gerek Yemliha Tarımsal Kalkınma Kooperatifinin eski işlevinden uzak olması gerekse sistemin işleyişinde anahtar kişilerin varlığındaki sorunlar bölgedeki coğrafi işaret sistemi ile ilgili temel sorunlar olarak tespit edilmiştir.
