Koronavirüs Pandemisinin Tüketicilerin Tıbbi ve Aromatik Bitki Tüketim Alışkanlıklarına Etkisi

Abstract

Tüm dünyayı saran COVİD-19 salgını insanların tüketim alışkanlıklarında farklılıklar yaratmıştır. Tüketicilerin bu süreçte tıbbı ve aromatik bitkilere olan talebi ilgi konusu olmuştur. Bu araştırmanın amacı COVİD-19 salgınının tüketicilerin tıbbı ve aromatik bitkilere olan talebine etkisini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla tüketicilerin salgın öncesi ve salgın döneminde tüketim tercihlerine yönelik farklı tıbbı ve aromatik bitkiye olan taleplerini karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmiştir. Türkiye’de Kocaeli ilinde yaşayan 407 tüketici ile anket yapılmıştır. Uygun analiz yöntemini seçmek için değişkenlere normal dağılım testi yapılmış ve değişkenlerin normal dağılmadığı belirlemiştir. Non parametrik testlerden Wilcoxon Rank test ile salgın öncesi ile salgın döneminde tüketim tercihleri istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre salgın dönemindeki tüketim sonuçlarının COVİD 19 salgını öncesi döneme göre sırasıyla; safran (%19), zerdeçal (%18), kekik (%17), biberiye (%15), sumak (%13), zencefil (%13), enginar (%12), papatya (%12), defne (%11) ve rezene (%11) tüketiminde önemli artışlar görülmüştür. Bunlara ilave olarak adaçayı (%9), salep (%8), sarımsak (%7), ıhlamur (%7), kimyon (%7), tarçın (%7), ve nane (%5), tüketim miktarlarında da anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir(P
