Türkiye’nin Domates Üretimindeki Kayıpları ve Rekabet Gücü

Abstract

Türkiye uygun iklim koşulları nedeniyle çok sayıda meyve ve sebzede dünya üretiminde ve ihracatında önemli paya sahiptir. Bu ürünler içerisinde yer alan domates, Türkiye’deki sebze üretiminin %40’ından fazlasını karşılayan, iç tüketimde de yüksek tüketim miktarları nedeniyle önemli olan ve gıda sanayine hammadde sağlayan en önemli üründür. Bu çalışmada, önemli ihraç ürünlerimizden olan domateste üretimin ilk aşamalarındaki kayıplar incelenmiş ve Balassa’nın Açıklanmış Karşılaştırmalı Üstünlükler (AKÜ) endeksi ile domates ve domates salçası için rekabet gücü belirlenmiştir. Türkiye’de incelenen sebzeler içinde en fazla kaybın olduğu ürün domatestir. Domates üretiminde 2000-2019 yılları arasında kayıplar artmış ve üretici fiyatları reel olarak azalmıştır. Türkiye, domateste 3.19 ve domates salçasında 5.49 ile rekabet gücüne sahip olmakla birlikte, incelenen dönemlerde AKÜ’nün azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Aynı dönemlerde rekabet açısından önemli olan AB’deki önemli üretici ülkelerin sebze üretimindeki output/input oranları 1.21-1.93,Tür-kiye’nin domates üretimindeki output/input oranları ise 1.07-1.97’dır.
