Europa, încotro?

The programmatic documents of Europe 2020 Strategy should be approached taking into consideration the international arena. The targets of the strategy should be approached from the perspective of an analysis about the global context – MACRO CONTEXT – and an analysis on the national, local level – MICRO CONTEXT- of the political, economic and social processes within the contemporary world. The macro context refers to globalization and the micro context is provided by the EU reality, and in subsidiary the reality of each EU Member State. The model of globalization, the model of integration and European development and the own country development model may be assimilated to concentric, overlapped circles, involving processes with different speeds. The four factors modeling the future of labour force are as follows: demography, fertility level, geographic position of individuals and talent mobility. At the same time, the new areas, such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, info-technology, neuro-technology will be the tools of innovation and technology based economy. Europe 2020 Strategy has proposed the following headline targets for the next ten years: 75% of the population aged 20-64 should be employed, 3% of the EU's GDP should be invested in research-development, the share of early school leavers should be under 10% and at least 40% of the younger generation should have a tertiary degree.
