Abstract

Green buildings have recently entered the real estate market. The admission of these buildings to the real estate market in Romania constitutes a true challenge for real estate assessors. In the constructions field, these innovative solutions are transposed by regulations that require the use of sustainable construction materials and engineering projects, renewable energy and water supply source, etc. Identifying sustainable elements of a building represents a challenge for any sustainability measuring system. Green assets performance is analysed by the present study by means of two building sustainability measuring systems, the BREEAM and the LEED respectively, which are based on a range of durable parameters.
