Abstract

By 2020, at the European level, the energy consumption for the existing buildings should be reduced with 20%. This objective can be achieved through the implementation of innovative solutions in the construction area. Sustainable Development Strategy of Romania provides that in addition to the rehabilitation of existing buildings to pay attention to the design and construction of new buildings with low energy consumption, or almost zero (nZEB - Nearly Zero Energy Building). The purpose of this paper is to analyze the energy performance of apartments in different energy classes, starting with the legislation in force and continuing with the presentation of the monthly and yearly energy savings based on mathematical calculations, in the case of an apartment.
