Abstract

The critical moments which came along with the deep financial crisis reshaped not only the economic but also the social perspective and their main coordinates. However, the initial shock has subsided now to the challenge that remained: solving the outstanding issues of the past. In this paper are analyzed the reactions that various countries have had when the market collapsed, the aim being to identify the factors that had a significant impact on the economy. The econometric analysis performed takes into account the objectives to be met in order to record sustainable growth. These results indicate that those countries that have chosen to invest in human capital and intellectual showed an increased resistance to the crisis and were able to recover more quickly and with fewer negative consequences.
