Research Methodologies for Management Information in Romania

Abstract

The rocketing trend manifested in the last years in the information system domain has led to a considerable increase of research activity in this field. The purpose of this article is to identify the main research methodologies in management information systems in our country and in European space. Based on our research's results, we present specific categories for research classification and describe various new trends in scientific publications related to management information. In our research we used empiric methods based on knowledge extraction from databases and archives related to various representative publications in management information field.
