Abstract

Technology transfer plays a main role regarding increased production, better use of natural resources and better processes of control and products manufacturing. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze how technology transfer influenced the internationalization strategy of the Brazilian company Jacto S/A, in the international competitive market. The final report was based on the research strategy of the case study, with qualitative analysis techniques. The type of research was exploratory, and data collection was done through a semi‑structured interview. The results obtained enabled to conclude that not a single model was used by the company regarding internationalization. Parts of the behavioral model, in which internationalization occurs gradually, and parts of the economic model, as in case of foreign direct investment, were used instead.
