Abstract

International trade in agricultural products is gaining importance, and it happens under extremely restrictive conditions. Analysis of raspberry production shows that agro-ecological conditions in Serbia are favourable for raspberry cultivation. Unpolluted land, favourable climate, enough sunlight, helps the raspberries to have better organoleptic and production characteristics, more intense aroma, colour and taste compared to raspberries from other countries. The raspberry is a natural Serbian brand. The subject of the research shall be the analysis of international trade in raspberries, precisely because of the importance of exports of agricultural food products, especially the raspberries, in the total export of Serbia, with the aim to analyse the level of international competitiveness of the raspberries production and export. In this paper, we have dynamically observed the raspberries trade in the world: quantity, value, and unit price, and then according to the same methodology also the export from Serbia.
