Abstract

Claude Henry pursued an unusual dual practice through the 1970s: publishing theoretical work in top journals while conducting detailed case studies of environmental decision-making. In the early 1980s, he chose to focus on policy engagement: case studies, advisory roles, institutional reform. Across this trajectory, from irreversibility theory to warnings about ``crime écologique de masse,'' Henry asked one question: how do we govern our planetary household?
