Abstract

L'idée que les marchés sont parfaits et garantissent l'optimalité de l'économie, n'a jamais été admise que par une minorité de macro-économistes, particulièrement en Europe. Ceux-ci, cependant, en développant l'approche des nouveaux classiques dans les années soixante-dix, et les modèles des « cycles réels » dans les années quatre-vingt, ont accru le niveau de rigueur exigé en macro-économie. Il est ainsi devenu clair que les imperfections des marchés devaient faire l'objet d'une analyse théorique approfondie, si on voulait les introduite dans une construction macro-économique qui soit convaincante. Bien que des contributions importantes en ce domaine soient apparues dès les années soixante-dix, ce sont les années récentes qui ont vu un effort de recherche considérable dans cette direction.
