Abstract

The paper underlines an acute need to create collective supranational structures for global management of the world monetary system. Of a particular interest is a conclusion of the author that the current world financial crisis is due to economic egoism of several countries which has shown ill comprehension of their responsibility for the world economy’s development. Considerable attention is given to the target designation of Russia’s monetary policy which should be focused on securing the innovative economic development in order to achieve the leading position of this country in the world financial system.
