Control of Logistic Support of Troops in the Battle of Kursk

Abstract

In article the author considers organizing activities of the Councils of War of fronts and armies, political bodies, commanders and chiefs for logistic support of troops in the Kursk fight. The analysis of archival materials, military memoirs, periodicals and other sources proves that the leading role in the leadership in logistic support of troops belonged to the Councils of War - the collegial bodies making administrative decisions by a majority vote, members, obligatory for all of them. Collectively made decisions were put into practice by orders and orders of top military commanders of fronts and armies.
