«The Easter World» of Nicholas II during the Bell for Witte Tolled

Abstract

Witte expected the next resignation, however continued to assist the name in receiving the European monetary loan, saving Russia from the state bankruptcy. On April 22, 1906 “founding father†of the Duma and the most successful minister in Nicholas II’s government count S.Yu. Witte has received imperial rescript about the resignation. In 1909 opening of a monument to Alexander III will become the last act of joint political activity of Witte and Nicholas II. The death of the disgraced prime minister Witte on February 28, 1915 became for the tsar “God’s is familiar†, time to live without Witte has come.
