Improving the Quality of Life in the Historical Center of Saint-Petersburg (in the Case of Vasileostrovsky District)

Abstract

The article gives a description of the term «quality of life» and its indicators. The article presents the existing legislation concerning people’s quality of life as one of the priorities of the state. The article considers target areas of Strategy-2030 of economic and social development of St. Petersburg, and in particular the improvement of the urban environment as one of the most important factors determining the well-being of the city. Urgency of the problem is shown on example of the Vasileostrovsky district, and the article identify measures to improve the quality of the urban environment, allowing to achieve a result, indirectly improve the quality of life of the district’s population.
