Logical and epistemological analysis of the consequences of modern economic neoliberalism

Abstract

The article characterizes the relationship between economic liberalism (essence) and its monetary form as an active neoliberal political economy concept (phenomenon). It is shown that the potential for socio-economic dysfunctions of monetary plutocracy (the power of money), as the basis of neoliberalism, has no direct relation to the liberal model of economy as such. The ontology of the destructive quality of neoliberalism is revealed, consisting in the egotistically – consumerist form of individualism as a consequence of the hypertrophy of personal freedom of the individual with the simultaneous oppression of social necessity. The logically determined negative consequences of monetary plutocracy for modern socio-economic development are substantiated. It is proven that neoliberalism is a systemic scientific and practical factor in the destruction of the creative and labor potential of the owners of human capital, a source of destruction of the creative quality of the state as an institutional entrepreneur, as well as the basis for undermining the democratic mecanisms of civil society. The socio-cultural crisis is characterized as a function of the financialization of social relations, and the necessity and foundations for overcoming it are verified.
