EAEU–ASEAN partnership as a promising vector for the development of inter-integration cooperation in Eurasia and the APR

Abstract

The article discusses the development of partnership between the EAEU and ASEAN. It was noted that the EAEU has retained its macroeconomic stability in the first half of 2020 despite the unstable developments of other integration associations. The results of international cooperation of the EAEU with foreign countries and integration associations are shown. It is suggested that inter-integration interaction is becoming one of the most effective formats of cooperation. The results of cooperation between the EAEU and ASEAN in 2015–2019 were considered, the strengths and weaknesses of the interaction of these integration associations were identified. A new format for further development of cooperation between the EAEU and ASEAN was proposed.
