Abstract

Open Letter to the Commissioner for Human Rights denounces restrictions on trade union autonomy under the Meloni Government. Scientific studies from BMC Microbiology rejected by the national authority. ROME, ITALY / STRASBOURG, FRANCE – August 20, 2026 – The Sindacato Autonomo Europeo Scuola ed Ecologia (SAESE) has issued an official Open Letter to the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights. The communication requests formal confirmation of receipt regarding a systemic complaint filed against Italian national administrative authorities. The dossiers, transmitted via the Council of Europe's official online platform on August 10 and August 13, 2026, denounce severe restrictions on trade union autonomy, dialogue regarding strike motivations, and the state of informational transparency within the Italian public education sector.
