Abstract

O tema do turismo e excursionismo rural, ainda pouco explorado no Brasil, é destacado em sua relevância e contextualização à realidade brasileira. No livro se discute, com rigor científico, a conceituação de turismo e espaço rural; a análise das diferentes escalas, da local à internacional, em que atuam os diversos atores sociais, organizacionais e institucionais do turismo; e as experiências brasileiras, enfocando a importância do tema para o desenvolvimento turístico sustentável.
