Abstract

Mats Alvesson, pesquisador e professor da Lund University, Suécia, vem desenvolvendo estudos sobre cultura em organizações há quinze anos e esse livro traz um balanço sobre as suas contribuições para um tema complexo e de uso difuso na Administração. Um dos objetivos do autor é aprofundar a discussão sobre a importância da interpretação cultural para a explicação de fatos organizacionais no mundo contemporâneo. A obra é um convite aos estudiosos e profissionais de gestão a uma reflexão mais aprofundada sobre o tema, ao explorar a noção da cultura organizacional como fenômeno complexo, inacessível e holístico, incapaz de redução à simples ferramenta de gestão para a mudança de comportamentos humanos.
