Abstract

The editorial Theoretical Essays and Provocations in Contemporary Administration is our invitation, as editors, to all those who wish to think about Management beyond the conventional. We aim to encourage the writing of texts that rescue the power of ideas, critical reflection, and theoretical imagination — dimensions that, amid the pressures of productivity and the pursuit of safe publication formulas, have become increasingly rare. We propose revisiting two fundamental but still underexplored genres: the theoretical essay, devoted to the construction and dialogue of ideas, and the provocation, which combines authorial voice, emotion, and rigor to challenge the field and inspire action. Both require intellectual courage, clarity, and commitment to the issues of our time, opening space for diverse perspectives, especially those rooted in our own contexts. Our invitation is simple and sincere: dare to think differently, to propose, to question. RAC seeks to be a space for texts that provoke and inspire, that unite reflection and creation, theory and practice — texts that allow us to see Management differently and, perhaps, help us transform it as well.
