Abstract

Commenting on the study by Belouafi, in which he dealt with the economic and social implications of the Corona virus from an Islamic perspective, this paper focuses mainly on the repercussions of the pandemic on the banking sector in Arab countries by addressing the direct and indirect impact. The paper also discusses the extent to which other economic sectors have been affected by the outbreak of the Coronavirus. On the other hand, this comment also mentions the efforts of the Arab Monetary Fund to support its member states in facing the outbreak of the pandemic through lending facilities supported by the Fund’s resources, supporting financial stability, and promoting the goal of financial inclusion.
