Abstract

Evaluating the works and reviewing them is a healthy phenomenon. Rather, it is something that is required by the year of change for the better. The nation, which does not retract its achievements, whether scientific or practical, remains trapped in the past, the tradition and the simulation of the winners. The call to review economic thought has been on the agenda for more than a decade, and has been largely emphasized during the global financial crisis that emerged in September 2008. In his book, "The Empire of Value: Rebuilding the Economy," French economist Andre Orlion points out that economics is facing a severe cognitive crisis. Instead of being a guide to societies directed towards greater rationality and insight, it is a source of confusion and error. The theoretical failure of economics is not limited to the failure of the neoclassical model, but rather to the perception and understanding of economic behavior and relations. And that the responsibility of economists is to present the various options with their linkage to benefits and disadvantages; in order to do so, the necessary diversity of economics should be provided so that choice is not limited to one option.
