A Model for Bank Regulator's Intervention Program

Abstract

この論文では，規制当局が銀行のオペレーションに介入する早期是正措置のモデルを提示する。社会的な介入費用は銀行の資本レベルに依存し，銀行の保護観察期間が短期間にすむならばその費用はより小さくなる。規制当局は，社会的な介入費用を最小化するように，介入を始める銀行資本レベルを設定する。この問題を解くため，我々は，銀行の初期資本レベルに応じて介入を始める最適な銀行資本を算出する。この結果，初期のレベルがより高いと，それだけ介入を引き起こす最適停止のレベルがより高くなることが明らかになる。また本論文では介入された銀行に政府が供給する助成金額と自己資本比率のレベルによってどのように社会的厚生費用が変化するかを示す。
