The adoption of mobile banking services: A comprehensive bibliometric analysis

The present research proposes a rigorous bibliometric analysis of scientific publications related to the adoption of mobile banking. The primary objective of this study is to map major academic contributions, with a view to identifying the most influential authors, most active institutions, dominant keywords, and collaborative research networks. The analysis is based on data extracted from Scopus for the period 2013–2022. The study adheres to the PRISMA protocol, thereby ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and rigor in the selection of articles. The results indicate a marked increase in scientific interest in the subject, characterized by a notable geographical concentration, particularly in South Asia, and a significant absence of research focusing on specific contexts such as Morocco. By providing an overview of current dynamics, limitations, and gaps in the literature, this work makes an essential and timely contribution to the structuring of the field of m-banking. It also directs future academic research towards as yet little-explored perspectives, offering valuable insights for researchers and policymakers in developing regions.
