Abstract

Scholars and policy makers are devoting increasing attention to reshoring. This phenomenon can be defined as the decision to relocate back to the home-country the company’s activities previously offshored. Reshoring can be explained by the pursuit of different types of benefits, not only economic, and calls for research to understand better the connected risks, opportunities, and implications. This work aims to investigate a specific case of reshoring developed by a well-known Italian company, operating in the agro-mechanical industry, which decided to relocate all its activities back to Italy.
