Um Estudo Sobre as Filas Para Internações e Para Transplantes no Sistema Único de Saúde Brasileiro

Abstract

O trabalho desenvolve, e aplica, um arcabouço capaz de avaliar algumas dasprincipais características das filas para tratamentos de saúde com internação noSistema Único de Saúde (SUS), incluindo o Sistema Nacional de Transplantes. Foirealizado um estudo qualitativo e quantitativo do tempo de espera nas filas, dotamanho (número de pessoas) e dos custos das filas nos hospitais. Foi realizadatambém uma identificação dos padrões das filas em sistemas de saúde de paísesdesenvolvidos e uma descrição da situação no SUS. Para a realização da avaliaçãoquantitativa dos problemas foram utilizados modelos de teoria das filas (queuingtheory). This work evaluates the waiting lines profiles of the Brazilian National Health System[Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS)] including inpatient care as well as organtransplantations. We also compared the Brazilian performance to rich countriesstandards. These objectives were achieved by using descriptive tools and a queuingtheory framework. By doing so we were able to estimate the waiting times, thenumber of patients on waiting lists and the economic costs of waiting for hospitalprocedures.
