Abstract

Working paper on the role of rural institutions in the diffusion of agricultural technology, and innovations in Sri Lanka - based on a sample survey, discusses the effects of farm size, tenancy, farmer age, education, etc., on productivity, profits and tractor and labour use; examines the access to green revolution technology, agricultural credit, fertilizer and agricultural markets; includes agricultural policy suggestions.
