Abstract

"Das Jahr 2010 war durch einen dynamischen Wirtschaftsaufschwung geprägt. Im Verlauf dieser positiven ökonomischen Entwicklung konnten Frauen ihre Position auf dem hessischen Arbeitsmarkt behaupten und teilweise verbessern. Trotzdem stellt sich die Situation der Frauen auf dem hessischen Arbeitsmarkt nicht in allen Aspekten zufriedenstellend dar. Die Teilzeitquote von Frauen ist weiter angestiegen. Über ein Drittel aller beschäftigten Frauen arbeiten in Teilzeit. Auch ausschließlich geringfügig entlohnte Beschäftigung wird vorwiegend von Frauen ausgeübt. Frauen verdienen schlechter als Männer. Der durchschnittliche Entgeltunterschied zwischen Frauen und Männern beträgt derzeit 20,4 Prozent. Frauen sind in den niedrigeren Gehaltsklassen systematisch über- und in den hohen Gehaltsklassen unterrepräsentiert. Frauen sind besonders häufig von Niedriglöhnen betroffen. Fast jede dritte vollzeitbeschäftigte Frau in Hessen arbeitet im Niedriglohnsektor." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
