Abstract

The new growth model of the Chinese economy as a way to face a challenge of the middle income trap ? Abstract The Chinese growth model set up in the 70s and based on strong cost and price competitiveness, has allowed China's economic development. Since the beginning of the XXI century, the Chinese authorities are aware of the economic, social and environmental limits of this model. They have trying to set up a model of sustainable consumption and production. If this model is successful, this would allow the Chinese economy to face the challenge of the middle-income trap.
