Abstract

La croissance du parc automobile en Chine engendre de nombreuses craintes des points de vue énergétiques et climatiques. Cette motorisation a principalement lieu dans les villes qui connaissent actuellement une croissance très rapide du fait de l'urbanisation et de l'amélioration des conditions de vie de la population. La croissance rapide du parc automobile semble toutefois incompatible avec la densité urbaine héritée. Cette forte densité urbaine est par contre une opportunité pour le transport collectif. La forme urbaine contraint donc fortement le développement automobile en Chine.
